Why Is Exercise Beneficial?
Increased physical activity is recommended at all ages. Regular physical activity significantly improves lipid levels. In particular, it reduces the levels of bad (LDL) cholesterol and triglycerides and increases the levels of good (HDL) cholesterol. In addition, physical activity lowers blood pressure, helps to lose weight and reduces the chance of developing diabetes, as well as certain forms of cancer.
CAUTION!!
We recommend 30 minutes of daily physical activity (able to raise our heart rate) at least 5 times a week.
